Kerala's new 'Dental Tourism' beckons foreigners in big way

By the dental tourism concept many foreigners from US are coming to India for Dental treatments. In India getting the treatments for cheap rates compared to other countries. Dr. Rajkrishnan who runs a dental clinic in Tripunithura has over bookings. He has tied up with tour operators and patients, who come from abroad during the course of treatment, get to visit places and thus he has developed a novel concept of ‘Dental Tourism’.
Dr. Rajkrishnan feels that the patients mainly come for the cosmetic dentistry and dental surgery. In the case of root canal treatment the patients gets a week’s gap between the two phases of treatment. It’s in this interim period that tour programs are arranged. The doctor also asserts that there is no extra billing for the patients from abroad.
